BOSH! Another Week of Remote Learning Completed
Remote Learning…Check. Google Meets…Check. Screen Break Friday…Check! It’s been an eventful and action-packed week back after half term and once again Year Six have risen to the challenge.
In addition, we found out that on Monday 8th March, we will be welcoming you back to Southill with open arms. I for one (as you could probably tell by my reaction on Tuesday) cannot wait to see you all!
This week, we also saw the introduction of ‘No Screen Friday’. We encouraged you to participate in activities that didn’t involve staring at a screen. It looks as if you’ve had a great time! At school, we made our own broomsticks using large branches and twigs then flew on them around an obstacle course, produced a colourful rainbow using osmosis, created circuits in order to make something move/light up and even dabbled in a spot of orienteering around the school grounds.
It seems as if we’ve also been very busy at home as well, basking in the sunshine on dog walks, baking, partaking in something active and enjoying a nice break from technology.
Finally, we’ve been competing against Year 5 all week on TT Rockstars and I can now reveal that we won! We have mainly Nell to thank. We will now enter into the finals next week against the other semi-final winner – Year 3. We will everybody working together as Year 3 have been smashing TT Rockstars.
Below are some pictures from Screen Free Friday. Have a great weekend!
Mr. P 🙂
