Over the last few writing lessons, Year 6 have worked as critics as they were required to create their own negative Trip Advisor review of a visit to a fictional place which turned out to be an utter shambles!

To kickstart the writing process, we first looked at a range of reviews and explored the informal features that made the reviews informative and slightly entertaining!

We then created our own fictional places to review. These included restaurants, hotels and theme parks such as Pizza Paradise, Palm Beach Hotel, Burger Bonanza, Water Wonderland and many more!

The children worked incredibly hard to use a range of informal features and weave together hilarious anecdotes and witty observations to paint vivid pictures of their disastrous visits!
