Deep Sea Scratching!
Today, we started to develop our coding skills using Scratch (an online coding website). The aim was to program an on screen diver that dives or surfaces using written algorithms (a set of instructions).
This may sound straight forward, however it wasn’t as easy as it first appeared. Captain Shelby and Sir Owlington were on the lookout for any resilient and reflective learners who could learn from, detect and correct problems in the algorithms in order to make their divers do what they wanted them to.
Well done, Year 4. There were certainly some cracking coders in our class this afternoon.
If any children wish to continue their dive into the world of coding at home, then Scratch is completely free! Simply follow the website below and have a blast!
