Día de los Muertos
This week, we have been looking at images from Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), celebrated from 31st October–2nd November. After learning a little bit about the festival, we started designing and creating our very own skulls. This is because skulls are used to help families honor their ancestors and lost loved ones during the celebrations. Using a range of materials, the children began to create a 3-D Day of the Dead skull.
I am sure you will agree that the children have done a stunning job, although I do warn you some of them look rather sinister!

That was very fun and I am pretty pleased with my mask!
I loved making these and I am going to carry mine on at home.
