Fitness Thursday: Wacky Laps

Our keen band of Sports Leaders were given full rein today as they set to planning different ways to run around the playground. Running is great, of course, although it can sometimes be a little dull. But not when our Sports Leaders are involved!

There was a fabulous turnout of athletes once again, all determined to have some fitness fun before school. We started with a warm-up lap, then it was time to trot round while balancing a cone on their heads.

Egg and spoon was next – but with  a tennis racket and ball. Can you keep the ball on the racket as you run?

Then it was Disco Fever – and it’s not easy to run while doing your favourite dance moves – followed by the Crab of course! We’ve all done it.

Finally, it was conga time. Despite me asking for short conga lines because of the wet and slippery conditions, everyone formed into one massive line. Oh well, no-one got hurt and everyone had a lovely conga lap with their friends.

Great job everyone – and well done to our Sports Leaders.
