Fluffy visitors and fishy fun

One is a snail, Ten is a crab – this great book explores how we can play with numbers by counting feet! Here we are exploring and counting with feet using many different characters.

We recorded our number stories by drawing dots to represent feet or by writing the numerals.

Somebody Swallowed Stanley – a story about a plastic bag (Stanley) who was eaten by different seaside creatures. We are learning how to be careful with our rubbish. We used cardboard from boxes (recycling superstars) for our painting this week. We painted lots of jellyfish – the sea creatures thought that Stanley was a jellyfish!

We had some fluffy visitors this week! Mrs Sharpe brought some chicks to see us. They were so tiny and very fluffy to touch. We talked about how they hatched out of their eggs, just like the birds we were watching on webcams recently.
