It was lovely to welcome our newest members of Forest School on Wednesday afternoon from Year 1-3.  Although hot, we found some lovely cool shade in the woods and in the hammocks.  We introduced ourselves, made LOTS of friendship bracelets, thought about our Forest School Code of Conduct and also went through some rules to ensure we all stay safe whilst outside at Forest School.  During choosing time, the muddy kitchen was serving some exquisite delights, bugs were hunted down around the fire circle and the Forest School cuddly animals played with.  Even in week 1, this bunch of Forest Schoolers were offering help, support and encouragement – what a fantastic start!  I can’t wait to see what week 2 brings.  See you next week for some berry fun and pond dipping with the new nets!!
