Bonjour la classe!

Year 6 are lucky enough to have 2 dancing superstars in their midst – two dancers who have been helping us understand how the french language is really important in ballet, where lots of the terminology is actually French!

So we went outside to practise some ballet moves. Here goes…

Grand jeté:

A long horizontal jump, starting from one leg and landing on the other.

Échappé

A movement from a closed to open position

Developpé

A movement in which the leg is extended outward
