Hangings Galore
This half term, the children have been learning all about weaving. Last week with Mrs Aitken, Year 4 were putting the finishing touches to their very own wall hanging for their bedrooms. They had to think carefully about the patterns, colours, materials and techniques they used in order to make a hanging to be proud of! I’m sure you’ll agree they look ace and will certainly brighten up a bedroom or two.
The children also made Reindeer Christmas decorations to hang on our Southill Christmas tree. They made it out of pegs and then jazzed them up with googly-eyes, pom-pom noses and used pen to add the final finishing touches. The Southill tree will be coming down very soon so the reindeer need a new place to hang…
You will be pleased to know that both of these decorations will be coming home with the children today.

That looked fun! I wish I was there too!
