Hooray for Handball!
Despite the weather not being able to make its mind up, the children made their way outside in order to continue learning about the fast-paced, team sport called Handball.
Today, the children practised their shooting technique. We looked at:
-How to throw the ball using the correct stance, arm and body positioning
-The importance of building momentum to generate power into the shot
-Aiming low and hitting the target
It was quite incredible just how much the children improved in such a short space of time! We then played a number of matches where the children developed their ability to pass, move into space without the ball, work reciprocally and try to score using their newly-developing shooting technique.
A very enjoyable afternoon, despite the showers!
Despite the fact that the weather did not make its mind up, I am sure everyone loved it!
