Here at Southill Primary we join the Royal Family, the nation and the world in mourning the loss of HRH Queen Elizabeth II.  As a mark of respect, today’s planned Celebration Assembly will focus on the life of the Queen. Certificates will not be forgotten and will be awarded in class instead.

The Queen was a hugely significant figure and her loss will be keenly felt by many, many people. We know that children will deal with this in different ways and our dedicated Southill team will acknowledge their feelings and allow them a chance to discuss and to understand what has happened. We will continue to exercise high levels of care and support to our children when they need it during this important time.

Further commemorations will be planned in-line with guidance from the Department of Education, when we receive them. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns feel free to get in touch.
