I cannot BEWEAVE it!
In Year 4, Mrs. Aitken has been teaching the children all about how weaving has changed over history. They started with the earliest evidence of weaving being found in Ancient Egypt all the way through to the mechanisation of weaving in the industrial revolution of the Victorian period.
The children have learnt that the loom threads are called warp and the threads woven through them are called weft.
Today, the children began making their own mini-looms and are enjoying creating a wall hanging featuring different coloured and textured yarns.
Mr. Prior
I loved weaving today, it was so much fun. I’m going to try it again at home
