I solemnly swear that Year 4 had a MAGICAL Friday!

On Friday 17th November, every member of Year 4 had a truly spectacular day! Whilst some of the children were incredibly lucky to visit Harry Potter studios, those at school still were able to fully immerse themselves into the world of Harry Potter. In the morning, the children had the opportunity to create their very own potions. They had to consider what they wanted their potion to do, the ingredients they would use and how the potion could be brewed. After having tremendous fun experimenting with various ingredients, the children wrote a set of instructions and tea-stained them to look old and authentic.

The children also explored the website ‘Pottermore’ which allowed them to explore Hogwarts castle and the school grounds. They also created some of the characters using toilet roll tubes, watched the first film ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone’ and took part in the Daily Fly (The Daily Mile on broomsticks of course).

What a day indeed…
