Year 5 have been hard at work mastering the art of writing a warning tale. They began by building a comprehensive toolkit, focusing on techniques to captivate the reader and bring the setting to life with vivid descriptions.

After careful planning, the children dedicated themselves to crafting stories they could truly be proud of. They demonstrated exceptional creativity and skill, incorporating a range of writing techniques such as personification, expanded noun phrases, fronted adverbials, and direct speech. They also paid attention to structure, using paragraphs effectively and showcasing their neatest handwriting.

Through their thoughtful exploration of characters’ thoughts and feelings, Year 5 brought their stories to life with depth and imagination.
