This week we have also investigated the properties of materials – well a piece of newspaper to be precise. We discovered that a piece of newspaper is very floppy, bendy and flexible. Not at all strong enough to build a bridge – but what if we changed the shape of the newspaper? We found out that by folding, bending or even scrunching a piece of newspaper we could make a bridge strong enough to hold a Billy Goat Gruff!
George loved this activity. He told us all about how his team made the paper bridge stronger so it could hold their ‘huge’ goat. What fun!
