After a good night’s rest π we woke up bright and early ready for the second day at Leeson. We had a huge breakfast, wrapped up warm and headed off into the frosty grounds. Today we have been scientists and survival experts. It has been an amazing day – we have learned how to survive and keep warm in the wild as well as pond dipping, team games and some classroom based learning about animal adaptations.
After our eventful day, we had a little bit of downtime, showered and got ready for our Christmas dinner which was absolutely delicious! We were all ready for it and the Leeson staff had really pulled out all the stops to make it extra special.Β With very full tummies, we visited the gift shop and then met in the lounge for Miss Hutton’s award ceremony. It was lovely to be able to celebrate the children who have really impressed us with their attitude, independence and kindness. It was difficult to choose as everyone has been truly brilliant.
As I write, the children are getting into their pyjamas ready for a hot chocolate and a story. They are all tired at the end of such a brilliant day.
I’m really proud of them all and feel very lucky to have shared this magical time with them.
