Year 3 have been learning all about the features of volcanoes and how they are caused. They have also learned that there are 2 types of volcanoes called effusive and explosive (I’ll let Year 3 tell you the difference)!

Before labelling the features of our volcanoes, Year 3 carefully sketched out their own volcano drawing before being let loose on painting them! I am sure you will agree from seeing the photos below that they did a fabulous job! In fact, they impressed me so much that I have put them on display in our classroom, so you’ll have to wait a little longer before they bring their masterpieces home!
