Making Music

This term, we are very luck to have the Dorset Music Service coming into school in order to teach us how to make music on Chrome books. Mr. Keys (who must have been destined to become a music teacher judging by the name) came in to teach us all about Charanga and how this clever online programme can help musicians create music.

Mr. Keys taught us all about pitch and tempo and the children developed their use of creating a pulse in a piece of music. Donning their headphones, the children then used Charanga in order to create a beat, loop the track and listen to their musical creations.

It was a brilliant session. The children really enjoyed the lesson and we cannot wait to see Mr. Keys in a fortnight’s time for our second session!
