We’ve had a great week in Year 1!
The children all enjoyed taking part in their Sports Day on Tuesday and did incredibly well to participate and cheer each other on in such hot conditions. We were so proud of the great teamwork, encouragement and resilience which they all showed. Thank you to all the grown ups who came along to support them (and carry all the water bottles!). We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! There will be a separate Sports Day blog post from Mr Prior.

The children wanted to base our class blog on their maths work this week. We have been focusing on using tens and ones to make two digit numbers. To do this, the children have been using Dienes blocks. They are doing a great job with this so far and we can really see their confidence building as they practice.
