Merry Christmas from Unit 2!
In order to kick-off the festivities in style, the children in Years 3/4 have been learning all about Christianity and Christingles. Rev’d Matt very kindly came to join us this afternoon in order to talk about each part of a Christingle and what it symbolizes.
We also had the chance to make our very own Christingles and the children then sang ‘Silent Night’ in candlelight. I’m sure you’ll agree that they’ve smashed it out of the park!
Well done Unit 2! You’ve outdone yourselves with your Christianity knowledge, creative Christingles and polished performance of a timeless classic.
A huge thank you to Rev’d Matt for giving up his time in order to come and talk to us today. We would also like to thank Mrs. Wallis who very kindly played the piano (in the dark) to help the children perform their song so superbly.
Mr. Prior and Miss Hutton

Thank you Unit 2 for inviting me in to share in your Christingles. Some wonderful singing by everyone. Loved the questions you had for me all about why we use Christingles at Christmas.
And if you want to make another come along to our Christingle service at Emmanuel church on Christmas Eve at 4pm. ~ Everyone is welcome!
