This week we have been exploring how the secondary colours are made from the primary colours. We started by identifying the primary colours and exploring how mixing different amounts of each colour gives us hues. We then used these hues to make our own colour palettes and gave our new colours fancy names – just like B&Q! We looked at the work of some famous artists to explore how they use colour and how colour makes us feel – happy and warm or cool and calm. We combined colour mixing with printing and created our own works of art in the style of Kandinksy.
