This half term we have been very lucky to receive a sequence of enrichment sessions focusing on music and drama.

During our music lessons, we have been learning to play rhythms in different time signatures: 3 beats and 4 beats in a bar. Using a range of percussion instruments, we worked together to represent the different time signatures. We had to listen carefully to one another to stay in time and concentrate on playing the correct beats – tricky stuff!

We have also been learning about music based on our Coastline topic. This involved listening to a range of sea shanties and learning to sing “Octopus’s Garden” by the Beatles.
