I am delighted to share the report from our recent Ofsted inspection with our parents and carers.

We are very pleased with its summary and believe that it captures the essential nature and ethos of our school.

The inspection also confirmed what a good school Southill is. We knew this already, of course, but it’s nice to have official validation from the experts!

The strengths of our school have been recognised:

• brilliant attitude and behaviour of the children
• hard-working and dedicated staff
• passionate and diligent governors
• positive and supportive parents
• exciting and well-structured curriculum

In addition, our mission to go ‘above and beyond’ when planning rich, meaningful experiences for our children has been acknowledged as an important part of the development of our children’s character. This is something we know the school does really well and, again, it’s great to see this was evident.

I trust, as our families, that you are pleased with the report too, and know that your children are part of a successful, thriving school that puts our pupils and their wellbeing at the centre of everything we do.

We now look forward to life post-Ofsted as we strive to make the school even better in the areas outlined in the report, while building on all those great things that the report identified.
