What a fantastic first week we have had in year 3!
We started the week off by going on a place value hunt around school and the children demonstrated excellent team work as they worked together with a partner to find all of the number cards that were hiding!
The children unwrapped their first book delivery of this term which revealed our class novel ‘The Wild Way Home’ as well as some additional books that we have added to our class reading area including ‘How to wash a Woolly Mammoth’ and ‘The first drawing’.
In Art the children experimented with colour mixing and had the challenge of seeing how many different colours they could make by mixing only the primary colours together. They then used the colours they had made to create their very own colour monster. They look fab!
They made a strong start with their History project ‘Through the Ages’ and created some amazing cave drawings that we have displayed all around the classroom.
This is just a snippet of all the incredible things year 3 have been up to this week. Have a wonderful weekend and I am already looking forward to sharing what we have been up to next week.
