Over the past couple of weeks, we have been completing a DT project based on our topic, ‘Scented Garden’. The children were tasked with designing a scented gift with their chosen person in mind.
They had to ensure that their product was scented, resembled a flower, could stand up as one piece and include herbs enclosed within a sewn compartment. After creating the ‘stems’ last week, this week we practised the skill of sewing (many of us for the first time!) in order to create our flower heads (with a lavender bag inside). Thank you very much to our adult helpers who supported us with this!
Once our gifts were finished, we created and attached a gift tag. We hope you all enjoy your scented gifts and that they help you to relax!
Finally, this afternoon we planted our sweet peas outside in the flower beds. We are looking forward to continuing to watch them grow and flower after half term!
We hope you all have a lovely break.
