What an incredible day year 3 had yesterday. It was a special moment for the children when we arrived at Stonehenge, as it really brought to life all they had learned so far. We were given a guided tour of Stonehenge and the children really impressed our tour guides with their prior knowledge of the Stone Age. They also listened attentively to soak up more knowledge from the Stonehenge experts!

We even got to see how a burial would have taken place thousands of years ago and learned that if you were a really important person you would be buried with gold!

We then hopped back on the shuttle bus and made our way to the gift shop – I was so impressed with how the children managed their spending money and used their maths knowledge to work out how much they could afford and what change they would get.

After a yummy lunch, we made our way to the ‘360 Gallery’ experience where the children were able to see how Stonehenge could look throughout the seasons. It was fascinating!

It really was such a pleasure accompanying year 3 on this trip and it has made me even more excited for our next trip to Leeson House! Well done Year 3!
