We were all so excited about our trip to pizza express today! We started our adventure when the coach arrived at school to take us to Dorchester. When we arrived at pizza express we went in and washed our hands, ready for our pizza making. Here we are getting ready.

We found out about some of the ingredients used to make pizzas and were able to taste some of them. Onion, tomato, olives, basil and cheese.

Then it was time to make our own pizzas. We were each given a tray with our pizza dough. The first thing we added to the dough was the tomato sauce (passata). We swirled it round to cover the dough, using a spoon.

Then we added cubes of cheese, sprinkling them on the pizza and spreading them out.

Some of us added some oregano too.

After making our pizzas, we washed our hands and waited for our pizzas to be cooked in the big oven. The smell was amazing! Whilst we were waiting we tasted some delicious pizza!

All of our pizzas were boxed up ready for us to take away with us. We had a safe journey back to school with our pizzas, hats and certificates, ready to take home with us at the end of the day.
