To celebrate Poetry Day in Year 6, we performed the poem ‘Mary Anning Roars to the Sea’ by Sophie Kirtley. We thought carefully about the techniques required for an effective performance and listened to Michael Rosen’s top tips too. As a class, we considered use of actions, tone of voice and emphasis, the speed at which we speak and how to perform with confidence. Well done Year 6, you were focused, resilient and did yourselves proud!
