In keeping with our topic Magnificent Monarchs our theme for art week has been Portraits and Poses. The children started the week exploring royal portraits and how kings and queens liked to be portrayed before thinking about how they might like to be portrayed in their own portraits. They then had a go at sketching a friend, The children then moved on to creating royal potraits by sketching and painting. Finally, they have created royal sculptures in clay. The children have been very resilient and creative this week, giving everything a really good try and, I think you’ll agree, the results are really very good!
