This half term we learned lots of facts about predators but we have also leaned lots of new skills and techniques in art class.
First we learned about Henri Rousseau and we were inspired by his famous painting, Surprised, to create our own tiger collage. Then we learned how to draw a realistic owl and a peregrine falcon in flight. This afternoon we used watercolours to create an eerie underwater feel as a great white shark glides along in search of its prey.
Throughout the project we have used lots of different media and techniques and I have been impressed with the children’s approach to having a go at everything. Lots of us have found we are better at art than we thought we were and have felt proud of the finished results.
Well done everyone. I’m looking forward to lots more messy art next half term.
