It may have been the first day back after a long Christmas holiday but Reading Champs were raring to go with our first meeting of the new year at lunchtime. Alex handed out his homemade bookmarks for everyone and we talked about the great books we had been reading over the Christmas holidays… see photos of the recommendations at the end of this post.

We also came up with an idea for Listen @ Lunchtimes – Come and listen to an audiobook  in the ICT suite at 12.30 every lunchtime – just the thing for those cold winter days. We’re starting with Carrie’s War on Monday and it will run every day for two weeks – perfect for Year 6 and their WW2 topic.
