This afternoon, the current Year 4 class made the long and winding journey to the great depths of Unit 3 to visit their new Year 5 class and teachers and what an afternoon we all had!

We started by having a chat about where everything is and who everyone is, then the fun began as we got to know each other better. We created some bunting with facts all about ourselves ready to decorate the class when we return to start our year in Year 5. What amazing ambitions and dreams you all have for the future everyone, lots of vets, teachers and footballers heading out from Southill soon!

To really get to know everyone, we played 2 truths and a lie and it was brilliant! Some of you learnt things about your friends you didnt even know! We were very impressed with the ingenuity of the pupils as they tried to trick us when we guessed who each one was.

The children then impressed us greatly with their amazing Daily Mile skills, they worked well as a class to unlock the trim trail, it was such a shame the rain stopped us!

To help us in Spetember, the children then shared some things they wish their new teachers to know about them, well done everyone, we love learing the things you do and don’t l;ike so we can make sure everyone gets on smoothly in Spetember.

To finish the afternoon, we had a little taster of a favourite maths game in Year 5, Nerdle! We won both games! See if you can have a go at the mega Nerdles over the summer ready for September!

Heading back to Year 4 with Welcome Letters and the Knowledge Organiser for our first topic next term, Dynamic Dynasties, we are all feeling a lot readier and more prepared for Year 5.
