In RE with Mrs Jones, the children have been learning about the Jewish holy day, Shabbat. Over the past few weeks, they have learnt how Jewish people light candles, eat Challah bread and refrain from using electrical appliances during Shabbat. Today, Mrs Jones bought all of their previous learning together as the children enjoyed their own Shabbat celebration in the classroom. She had even made Challah bread to share with the class and it was very yummy! The children loved experiencing this and it really bought their learning to life. The general consensus was that we should do it more often! Well done Year 1 for being so enthusiastic and inquisitive.
