I was very pleased to present our members with their school parliament badges on Thursday afternoon.  We discussed some upcoming events which will be happening in the school next half term, including World Book Day and Comic Relief.  They have already introduced Catch Up Mondays across the school.  On a Monday morning every class is free to talk with their friends about the weekend, doodle or read quietly.  The children said that they are “Bursting to tell their friends their news on a Monday morning but have to wait until break time!” so they asked if they could have Monday morning before register to “get it out of their systems!”  So far. we have found that it creates a calm transition from the weekend back into school.
