Wow – what a busy week!
This week in year 1 we have been learning all about space travel. We have been looking back at some important dates in history, such as 1942 when the first rocket went into space and 1969 when Neil Armstrong became the first man to walk on the moon. As part of this learning we have been using facts to create a timeline, ordering these important events in history and talking about the impact that they have had.
Next week we will be using these facts, alongside some facts from home, to write up our Space information text. Below you can see some pictures from our timeline activity. You can see that we have been working reciprocally with a friend, to read and order the dates!
Well done year 1. Another great week!
