St Ives Day Four

It has been another brilliant day in St Ives for Year 6.

We started our morning by catching the bus over to Paradise Park. We had a real treat as when we arrived, it was penguin feeding time! We learned that penguins blush to cool themselves down and their eyes change from blue to brown as they age. After that, it was time to watch the fantastic Eagles of Paradise display! We also got to feed the goats and sheep and had a look at all of the different birds and animals. The red pandas were a particular favourite with the class. After lunch, the children were eager to have a run around and conquer their fears on the death slide in the soft play area.

After the busy journey back to the hostel, we set out in groups to experience the thrill of the Blue Thunder rib ride! There were many screams and laughs, and the children loved seeing the seals around Godrevy Lighthouse.

We ended the day with a delicious curry and a special birthday treat! The children are now tucked up in bed ready for their last day. It has been a splendid week full of laughs, adventures and new experiences! We have been so impressed with the children’s resilience and enthusiasm to try new things. I am sure they are looking forward to telling you all about it when they return home tomorrow!
