Day one of St Ives is almost over and what a day it has been! The weather has been perfect and the children have had a great day.
First, we arrived at the Eden Project and met with our guide Tom who talked to us all about climate change and explained some of the key drivers that impact our planet. We then took part in an orienteering activity around the site which required us to investigate examples of how we can all work together to help reduce our carbon footprint. We even got the chance to explore the rainforest biome and mediterranean biome during our orienteering task! We were also fascinated by Blue (a breathing ceramic sculpture) which exhales vapour rings!
We then arrived at our hostel and were all excited to settle into our bedrooms. We played some boardgames and then sat in the courtyard to have our chippy tea. It was a beautiful, sunny evening so we decided to take a walk around the harbour to the lighthouse and admired the views across the bay. As the tide was out, we made our way down to the beach for a runaround!
We are all looking forward to another fun-filled day tomorrow!
