Thank you Eddie the Elf!
At the very beginning of December, we were greeted by Eddie the Elf who had both a bag of goodies for our class along with a message…
In the twinkling forest, where snowflakes softly swirl,
I’m Eddie the Elf, your festive friend, a joyous little pearl.
Year 4, listen close, to a tale I weave,
A gift of enchantment, each day you’ll receive.
With magic in my pockets and stories in my sack,
I bring you the gift of words, no need to look back.
As the days dance by on the calendar’s scroll,
A new book each day, for your curious soul.
Open the pages, let your imaginations soar,
Into lands unknown, where adventures galore.
From dragons to castles, and heroes so true,
In the world of these books, find wonders anew.
With each dawn that breaks, and the sun’s warm kiss,
Discover the joy of tales, pure and bliss.
A literary journey, as we count down the days,
In the classroom, where imagination sways.
So, Year 4, embrace the magic in each story’s rhyme,
A gift of knowledge, a gift for the mind.
Merry reading, dear friends, let the pages unfold,
For Eddie the Elf brings tales untold.
Love from ya pal, Eddie the Elf!
Each day in December, we have spun ‘The Wheel of Names’ to determine who will open the book each day and my goodness we have been spoilt with some riveting reads. All the books have been snapped up and are being read by members of Year 4 and Eddie the Elf is delighted to see so many children enthusiastic about delving into new books!
