The Magic of Macbeth

My-oh-my what an action-packed start to this half term we’ve had! We’ve had no time to kick back and relax as we have a super story to tuck into…

Over the past week, the children have been delving deep into William Shakespeare’s infamous story, Macbeth! We’ve listened and watched the story unfold and we’ve learnt a great deal about:

• Shakespeare himself (plotting his life on a timeline)
• Famous locations in Scotland that are referenced in the story of Macbeth
• What exactly is a coat of arms

Coming up, the children will be brewing their very own potions and explaining what they do, making a scene from Macbeth inside a shoe box and, of course, practicing our play to in preparation for our performance at the end of half term.
