It has been a great week in Reception and it is lovely to see us all back together again.

We started the week learning a poem from the poetry basket. The poem is called Pitter Patter. We are enjoying learning the rhyme and performing the actions too.

In our drawing club we drew pictures of the rhyme and wrote words to label them. We also looked at some rainy day paintings and then painted our own versions. Look at the brightly coloured umbrellas!

I have to mention how much progress everyone is making with their reading – we have so many confident readers now. Here is a selection of books we are reading at the moment.

The Sleepy Bumblebee visited our classroom and left us our new story, along with some useful props! Over the next few weeks we will learn the story and explore bees through a range of activities.

We are having so much fun learnng together.
