Today was our first Eco Club session of the year. It was so lovely to see children from all over the school taking part and we even had some children join us from Reception!
Our eco focus this week was ‘litter’ so we started off by watching a video about why it is so important to pick up our litter to protect our planet. We also found out that over 2.24 MILLION pieces of litter are dropped on the floor EVERY SINGLE DAY! So, we agreed that as eco club members we need to play our part in reducing the amount of litter in and around our school community.
The children then started working on designing an anti-litter poster to display around school. Some children worked together with their siblings or friends and others chose to work independently. I can’t wait to see their completed designs because they are looking amazing already!
We are already looking forward to next week.
