Welcome to Year 4!

This afternoon, Year 3 ventured across the unit to join Year 4 in preparation for next academic year. We began by getting to know one another and played lots of fun games to help adjust to the new environment. The children then all helped create a ‘Classroom Contract’ which focused on drawing up a set of rules and responsibilities for next year in order for us to be ‘THE BEST CLASS IN THE SCHOOL’. Not that I am competitive or anything…

The children soon learnt that I do love a Bitmoji. The children then had the chance to draw themselves as a Bitmoji character which we will put on display outside the classroom for when the children arrive on their first day back.

We concluded the afternoon by allowing the children to ask any burning questions they had about next year and hopefully they came home feeling optimistic and excited about what next academic year has to offer. They should also have a welcome letter and some information regarding the topic we will be learning about in the autumn term.

It was great fun getting to know the children and we are really excited for September!!!
