Well HELLO there, Year 4!
WELCOME BACK! The children looked incredibly smart this morning donning their polished shoes and wearing the Southill blue with pride. This morning, the children felt a mixture of excitement and nerves as they entered the classroom. The nerves soon disappeared however as we got used to where to find things in the classroom and saw some friendly faces.
Today was a great opportunity to get to know the children a little better. They began by writing a fact file all about themselves and they then created a piece of art work detailing all of the things in the world that they are grateful for. From sunshine to pets, the NHS to nature, the children were able to explain what they were grateful for.
This afternoon, Mrs. Aitken taught PSHE to the class where they had meaningful conversations about what makes an effective team player; Something I am sure which will help us in our quest to be the most reciprocal class ever! The children played some games involving getting objects around the circle without using certain body parts. Agent Buzzbee was very impressed with the way in which the children applied themselves during the session.
An amazing start to life in Year 4. Shall we all do it again tomorrow?
Mr. P
