Well, that was a whirlwind of a start to Year 5! We have now finished our learning about the Tudors and have concluded that the victim in our music room was in fact…..Anne Boleyn! She was executed for a number of reasons, ask us what they were…
We have learnt that Henry VIII was in fact quite fickle, but very powerful and had a tendency to chop people’s heads off! In fact, those Tudor Kings and Queens were all a bit mean! We have also composed our own verses to Greensleeves, drawn some Tudor portraits, learnt about Elizabeth 1st and created some Tudor Roses and suits of Armour.
Phew! Tell you what, let’s have a week of rest shall we?! We’ll see you again on Monday 2nd November Year 5! Don’t forget to read every day over the half term and keep quizzing, keep logging onto Lexia if you have an account (we want to share more certificates!) and practice your spellings and division facts.
We will leave you with these amazing pictures of us and our Harrowing Halloween Creations.
They’re brilliant Year 5, well done!
Awesome artwork Yr5 – you all look so proud, and rightly so!
