Here in Year 5 , we love words! Colossal words, hilarious words, terrifying words…we are enthusiastic for the vocabulary, eager for the sounds!

We also love poetry, so what better way to celebrate Poetry Day and our love of words with a Performance Poem by one of our very favourite poets, the one and only Michael Rosen, Words Are Ours!

We watched a video of Michael Rosen performing the poem to really work on our expression and performance.  Then we explored the poem and put our expression into practice!

Well done Year 5, you were so reciprocal and reflective in your poetic performance today, you must be really proud!
