Today, Year 6 travelled back in time to World War Two, and spent their day experiencing life as an evacuee. Dressed in their 1940’s outfits with caps, gas mask boxes and evacuee identity cards, the class were split into groups and participated in a range of activities. These included:

• Laundering and washing clothes
• Rationing food and household items in a shop
• School life as an evacuee
• Anderson shelters and fire-safety
• Anti-aircraft guns

We were so impressed with the way Year 6 participated in the activities, listened carefully and asked insightful questions throughout the day. Here are some pictures from our trip.
