Year 6 Summer Sports Club – WATER PONG
To send them to secondary school in style, our final summer sports club involved Year 6 brushing up on their Water Pong skills. Children arranged themselves into pairs and were required to eliminate their opponents cups by throwing the ping pong balls into them. The competition was fierce and the children played with real enthusiasm and determination.
After the scores were counted and verified, four teams entered the semi-finals desperate to be crowned winners. What do the winning team receive for winning? I hear you ask. Well, they would have two minutes to DRENCH every other team with the hose and cups!
Congratulations to our winners who did a cracking job of soaking every member of our Summer Sports Club (they too had a rather ‘pleasant’ surprise at the end of the club).
That concludes our clubs for another year. We hope everybody in Year 6 leaves with fond memories of the clubs, competitions, PE lessons, festivals and Forest School sessions that Southill had to offer.
A huge thank you to Isabelle, Sofia, Ellie-Belle and our very own Emily Jones for all of your help after school today.
