After a year of Book Talks and recommended reads by yours truly, it was Year 4’s turn to recommend books to their classmates. Children have signed up to a slot and every Thursday, three new children will have the opportunity to recommend a book that they love. This morning saw three children recommend the following books:

-The Day I Fell into a Fairytale

-The World of Norm

-A Series of Unfortunate Events.

The children were required to prepare a presentation about the book they had chosen, read a small part of the novel to the class with expression and intonation and take questions about their recommended read. I must say, the children were incredible! All three of them delivered their presentations with confidence and it has led to other children in the class asking to read the books that they had suggested. What a start!
