Celebration Assembly

What an incredible week we've had at Southill Primary! We're delighted to share the wonderful achievements of our pupils across two very special celebration assemblies.

Monday's 2%ers Assembly

On Monday, we celebrated our amazing 2%ers – those special children who choose to be positive and look on the bright side, no matter what challenges they face.

The concept of 2%ers recognises that approximately 2% of the population consistently choose optimism and positivity in their daily lives. These pupils demonstrate an exceptional attitude by:

  • Choosing to see the good in situations
  • Maintaining a positive outlook even when things are difficult
  • Spreading joy and encouragement to others
  • Approaching challenges with resilience and a can-do spirit

Being a 2%er is about making a conscious choice to focus on the positive, and we're incredibly proud of every child who was recognised for embodying this wonderful mindset.

Friday's Readers and Stormbreakers Celebration

Friday saw us come together again to celebrate our enthusiastic readers and our brilliant Stormbreakers.

Our readers have shown wonderful dedication to developing their reading skills and nurturing a love of books. Reading is such a vital skill that opens up the world to our children, and we're thrilled to see so many pupils embracing it with such enthusiasm.

Our Stormbreakers have been focusing on hope and optimism – learning how to maintain a positive outlook for the future and believe in their ability to overcome challenges. This perfectly complements our 2%ers celebration, as both recognise the power of choosing positivity and looking forward with confidence and determination.

A Week to Remember

We are super proud of everyone who was celebrated this week, and indeed of all our pupils who work hard every day. These assemblies are a wonderful opportunity to recognise and share the fantastic things happening across our school.

Thank you for your continued support in encouraging your children to choose positivity, maintain hope and optimism, and be kind, thoughtful members of our school community.

Well done to all our stars this week!
