Collective Worship
Acts of Collective Worship (referred to as ‘assemblies’) are very much part of our school life. They provide an opportunity to enhance the community life and atmosphere of the school. Assemblies are used to illustrate and embed the values and principles which underpin the Southill ethos. It is important all staff and children are involved in whole school assemblies, however parents and carers have the right to withdraw their child from collective worship. Parents wishing to exercise this right should contact the Headteacher. At Southill we have whole school and year group assemblies:
Mondays at 2.45pm: Our 2%er assemblies, led by Matt or Shaheena – full of awards, celebrations and achievements. (Don’t know what a 2%er is? Ask one of our pupils!)
Tuesday: Singing Assembly
Thursday: Values Focus
Friday at 2.45pm: Celebration assembly in which a Star Learners from each class is celebrated. Parents are invited to this assembly so they can share in the celebration with their child.
